The Benefits Of Self Defense For Women

The need for Women to train Martial Arts is on the rise. The continuing threat of Human Trafficking, has women on the search to equip themselves with Self-Defense training. Many have resorted to getting their Concealed Handgun License. While I think that is a handgun is a great line of self-defense but what about the situations you are not able to get to your first line of protection? Many places do not allow concealed handguns on the premises.  Ask yourself, "What would I do if I wasn't able to get to my handgun"? My answer would be " I would use my Mixed Martial Arts Training."


There are staggering benefits for women training Mixed Martial Arts. One of the fastest growing Martial Art that women are getting involved in is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Over the past few years there has been a movement of All Women's Jiu-Jitsu classes and Girl's in Gi's seminar. These classes are designed for women to learn to defend themselves against larger and stronger attackers. Martial Art Academies have been seeing a rise in attendance in their Women's Kickboxing classes. Learning to defend your self with punches, knees and kicks.  Women self defense classes have many fitness benefits. For example: weight loss, burn fat, build lean muscle and get a great cardio workout. Training helps with mental clarity, self confidence and has the ability to pull a person out of depression. 


The evidence is everywhere on why women should train Martial Arts. There are many successful self defense stories out there on the web. Stories of women choking men with the attackers own clothing while the man attempted to rape them. Women knocking men out with a simple Judo throw or High Kick to the head. I believe it is essential for all women capable of training to enroll in Martial Arts Program. Rather it be an all Women's Self Defense Class, Jiu-Jitsu Adult Classes, Boxing and or Kickboxing. So get out there and join a program. Make sure to research for the right program. Look at reviews and ratings. There are a lot of programs out there only to make money. Also there are a lot of bogus self defense program that will only get you hurt in the long run.
